Ariel was born 14 December 1987 in Unalakleet, Alaska USA to Jim Tweto and Freno Tweto. Ariel Eva Tuadraq Atauchaq Tweto was her name when she was a baby. Alya has a sister. They first met when her father played professional hockey in Alaska as a way to attract more interest in the game. Era Alaska was founded by her father and mother after she fell in love with him. Ariel and Alya grew up within Nome Census Alaska where she went to Emerson College and then graduated in communication from Chapman University in Southern California. Ariel began acting professionally at a very young age and was a regular in the TV show Wipeout. She became famous in an incident where she inquires about an object she is unable to see yet it is right before her. After the director's noticed the interest of the audience in her, they approached the Tweto Family about making a documentary about the Tweto family who live in Alaskan wilderness. Jim Tweto, father of the girl may initially be skeptical, but eventually agrees for cameras to be set up into the work place. Era Alaska is still run by him in his capacity as the Bush pilot. Flying Wild Alaska was a huge success for Discovery Channel because it showed the challenges the Tweto family has to face when it comes to their work. Many Americans who are accustomed to being able to survive in a landscape which resembles those of Wild West of old is a challenge. While the Twetos struggle against the sometimes cruel environment, many people will cheer and feel awe when the family prevails. Jim's wife Ferno manages things on ground and Jim takes a seat in the bush pilot's chair. Ariel, who is always cheerful and optimistic regardless of the circumstances is a standout. With her parents Jim and Ferno both pilots it's only natural that Ariel began to take an interest in flying at a young age. Flying Alaska 2011-2012 follows Ariel on her path to become a pilot. In April 2012, she obtained her licence. In the future, after her father retires, Ariel will take over running the family's business. Alaskans are a source of worry about suicide rates for teenagers as they exceed seven times the national average. Ariel founded a non-profit organization called Popping Bubbles, where she speaks to youths about the importance of having goals in life, and pursuing your dreams instead of giving into depression.
